Where is Park Circle Presbyterian Church?
As our name indicates we are located on Park Circle in North Charleston, South Carolina. If you come down North Rhett from I-526 you will enter a large traffic circle. Going around the circle you will pass Buist Avenue, Montague Avenue and go right onto Durant Avenue. We are the first building on the right.
Where do I park?
You may park in front of the church on the grass or in the parking lot behind the church. If you park behind the church you will come through our Fellowship Hall. Coming through the Fellowship Hall the Sanctuary is through the door across the hall on your left.
What do I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Some people dress very casually. Others dress more formally. What you look like is not as important as your presence.
How long with the service last?
Most services last about one hour.
Where is the nursery?
The nursery is in the education building which is next to the Fellowship Hall. If you park in the parking lot behind the church, come through the Fellowship Hall and go across the hall to your right. The nursery is down the hall. If you park out front take the path that goes off to the left of the sanctuary door and go through the door at the end of the path. The nursery will be down the Hall on the left.
Will I be expected to give money?
There is an offering taken at every service but visitors are not expected to give. If you become a part of the life of our church you are encouraged to give as God calls you.
What should I expect during worship?
Worship in our church includes congregational singing, music from the choir accompanied by organ or piano, prayer, Scripture reading, a sermon, a children's time, and an offering. We sit for most of the service and stand for most singing.
Where should I sit?
Wherever you like!
Should I participate in Communion?
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We welcome all baptized people who trust in Jesus Christ as Savior regardless of denomination to participate with us. The bread and juice are passed to the congregation in pews. If you do not wish to participate you may simply pass the tray to the person next to you without taking the elements
